CIRCULATION: Students may check out three books for three weeks. All books can be renewed for an additional three weeks. Reference books are not generally checked out to students, but can be checked out by teachers.
The loan period for faculty and staff is also three weeks. Staff members may check out any number of books or AV items needed. We would ask, however, that you be considerate of others’ needs when selecting materials, and that you return all materials as soon as you are finished using them. No library user, student or staff, should ever loan an item checked out in his/her name to anyone else. That item should be returned to the library and checked out in the other person’s name. INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS: Teachers may send individual students at any time to check out books or do research. Each student should come to the library with a completed library pass. |
LUNCHTIME POLICY: The library is usually open during lunch.Students may use the library for studying, reading, or checking out books. If students wish to use a computer, they must bring a pass from their teacher stating what topic they will be researching. Research computers are not to be used for games, email, chat-rooms, or recreational sites.
BACKPACK POLICY: Due to concerns with safety and theft, we are asking that students do not bring backpacks to the library during the school day. If, for any reason, a class brings backpacks, students need to wait for the bell before they pick up backpacks to leave the library. Due to fire and safety regulations, students must keep doorways clear. RESEARCH COMPUTERS: The primary use of the computers in the reference section is research. Research computers will need to be reserved in advance. Teachers may do so by signing up on the library calendar. Due to Internet usage, the classroom teacher must supervise the class. T |
